PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Little Highland Bloom finds a young Highland calf resting deep within a summer meadow, surrounded by a profusion of tiny wildflowers glowing beneath the setting sun. Nestled among the grasses, the russet calf gazes directly towards the viewer, its broad muzzle and dark eyes emerging from beneath a wonderfully tousled forelock.
Small purple, white and yellow blossoms have become caught among the curls across its forehead, forming an accidental little crown that seems borrowed directly from the meadow around it. Long strands of the calf's shaggy coat fall naturally across its face and chest, while the low evening light catches the outermost hairs in brilliant threads of copper and gold. Around its resting body, clover-like blooms, daisies and delicate flowering stems rise at different heights, some sharply defined and others dissolving softly into the foreground.
Beyond, rolling hills fade beneath a luminous amber sky. The entire meadow appears immersed in the last warmth of the day, creating an intimate portrait in which calf, flowers and landscape seem almost inseparable.

BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The Highland Cattle (Bos taurus) has a long association with landscapes where vegetation can be coarse, varied and considerably less uniform than improved agricultural pasture. Highland cattle are capable grazers and browsers, consuming grasses alongside a range of other available plants, and their relatively hardy nature allows them to forage in areas unsuitable for more intensively managed cattle.
This behaviour has also made the breed useful in some modern conservation-grazing programmes. Rather than producing the uniformly short vegetation associated with intensive grazing, carefully managed cattle can help create a varied structure of taller and shorter plants. Their movement through vegetation, selective feeding and occasional trampling can prevent vigorous species from dominating every part of a site, creating opportunities for smaller plants and associated invertebrates.
The relationship depends greatly upon stocking density, season and habitat, and grazing must be managed appropriately to protect sensitive vegetation. Used carefully, however, cattle can become active participants in grassland management. A Highland calf surrounded by flowers therefore reflects more than a picturesque pastoral scene, grazing animals and flowering meadows can form part of the same changing ecological landscape.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
