The Red Rustics captures the quiet resilience of Duroc pigs in the lingering calm that follows a passing storm. Beneath a sky where heavy rainclouds gradually surrender to returning sunlight, the animals move confidently across a rain-soaked pasture, their rich mahogany-red coats glowing warmly against the cool greens and deep browns of the freshly drenched landscape. One pig pauses with calm assurance while the others continue to forage, creating a natural sense of movement that reflects the steady rhythm of life on the farm. Their powerful frames and relaxed demeanour convey both strength and contentment amid the changing weather.
Moisture clings to the earth as shallow pools mirror the warm colours of the clearing sky, while faint wisps of vapour rise from the cooling ground and drifting droplets catch the last light of the afternoon. The Duroc Pig (Sus scrofa domesticus)
Developed in the United States during the nineteenth century, the Duroc emerged from the careful breeding of several large red pig strains, most notably the Red Berkshire of New York and the Jersey Red of New Jersey. Over generations, breeders refined the Duroc into a hardy, adaptable animal recognised for its distinctive reddish-brown coat, muscular build, and dependable temperament. Equally at home in traditional pasture systems and modern farming operations, the breed earned a reputation for resilience, efficient growth, and consistently high-quality meat. These qualities established the Duroc as one of the world's most influential sire breeds, with its genetics contributing to countless breeding programs across the globe. Despite its importance in commercial agriculture, the Duroc remains closely associated with the enduring values of practical farming, strength, reliability, and generations of thoughtful livestock stewardship.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
