The Painted Pastoral presents a tranquil portrait of Juliana pigs foraging together beneath the soft light of a summer evening. Within a meadow rich with wildflowers, clover, and native grasses, a watchful sow stands calmly at the edge of the group while the younger pigs explore the pasture with quiet curiosity. Each animal is absorbed in the instinctive search for tender shoots and hidden morsels among the vegetation, creating a gentle rhythm of movement that reflects the breed's naturally social disposition. The composition conveys a sense of harmony, where exploration unfolds within the reassuring presence of the family group.
The remarkable individuality of the Juliana breed becomes the defining visual feature of the artwork. Every pig displays a unique combination of black, silver, cream, and warm ginger markings, transforming the herd into a living tapestry against the lush greens of the meadow and the delicate pinks and purples of the surrounding wildflowers. Our fine art and canvas prints are produced to order, allowing each piece to be carefully prepared and checked before leaving the studio. We use Australia Post for all domestic and international shipping, with delivery times varying according to destination, carrier demand and customs process where applicable. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
