Soft morning light pours through tall glass doors and flowering greenery, illuminating a tranquil interior where a Himalayan cat is portrayed across three stages of life. Arranged within an elegant conservatory setting, the kitten, adult, and senior cat share the same flowing cream-coloured coat, dark points, and luminous blue eyes, revealing them as a single life presented across time. The Himalayan is one of the most recognisable long-haired companion cats in the world, developed through the careful blending of two celebrated breeds. During the mid-twentieth century, breeders sought to combine the luxurious coat, rounded features, and gentle temperament of the Persian with the striking colour-point pattern and vivid blue eyes of the Siamese. The result was a breed that possesses the elegance of both ancestors while establishing a distinctive identity of its own.
One of the Himalayan's most fascinating characteristics is the gradual development of its signature colouration. Kittens are born almost entirely white or cream, with the darker points on the face, ears, legs, and tail emerging over the first months of life. These markings continue to deepen subtly throughout adulthood, influenced by age and environmental temperature, giving the breed an ever-evolving appearance.
Today, the Himalayan remains one of the world's most admired pedigree cats, valued for its affectionate disposition, tranquil personality, and remarkable beauty. We use Australia Post for all domestic and international shipping, with delivery times varying according to destination, carrier demand and customs process where applicable. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
