The Dawn Trio is a peaceful portrait celebrating the extraordinary sight of a Dutch Warmblood mare standing protectively beside her rare twin foals as a new day begins. Bathed in the soft golden light of early morning, the family gathers within a dew-covered pasture where gentle mist lingers across the distant countryside. The Dutch Warmblood (Equus ferus caballus) as foals grow beyond their first days of life, play becomes an essential component of healthy physical and behavioural development. Running, turning, jumping, and playful interaction strengthen muscles, improve coordination, and develop balance while preparing young horses for the complex movements required throughout adulthood. These seemingly carefree activities represent important stages in neurological and musculoskeletal maturation rather than simple recreation.
Equally significant is the social learning that occurs alongside physical development. Foals observe their mother's behaviour, learning appropriate responses to unfamiliar situations, recognising herd dynamics, and gradually developing confidence through exploration. Interaction with siblings or similarly aged companions further refines communication, cooperation, and social awareness. During these early months, curiosity and movement become powerful educational tools, allowing young horses to acquire the practical skills necessary for later life. Whether destined for competitive sport or recreational riding, the foundations of a well-adjusted adult horse are established through these formative experiences within the security of the family group.

We use Australia Post for all domestic and international shipping, with delivery times varying according to destination, carrier demand and customs process where applicable. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
