The Alpine Majesty depicts a magnificent herd of Simmental cattle grazing across an expansive alpine meadow as the final light of day settles over the mountains. Scattered naturally throughout the pasture, the cattle create a harmonious composition of quiet movement and calm observation, while a powerful Simmental bull stands confidently at the centre, becoming the visual anchor of the scene. Their rich chestnut-red and creamy white coats glow beneath the golden-hour light, contrasting beautifully with the emerald grasses, delicate alpine wildflowers, and weathered timber fencing that gently guides the eye across the landscape. Beyond the meadow, dense evergreen forests rise toward towering snow-capped peaks, where drifting mist softens the valleys between the rugged mountain ranges.

The Simmental (Bos taurus) is one of Europe’s great historic cattle breeds, with roots in the Simme Valley of Switzerland. For centuries, it was valued as a versatile farm animal, traditionally used for milk, meat, and draught work in demanding alpine conditions. Its strong frame, calm temperament, and productive qualities helped the breed spread widely beyond Switzerland, where it became influential in cattle breeding across many parts of the world. Even with this global reach, the Simmental remains closely associated with mountain pastures, summer grazing, and the agricultural traditions of the Alps. This artwork honours that heritage by placing the herd within a landscape of scale and beauty. The cattle are not separate from the alpine setting; they are part of its working history, carrying the legacy of resilience, usefulness, and pastoral continuity.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
