BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) is one of the most recognizable and successful waterfowl species in the world. Native to North America, it has expanded far beyond its original range and can now be found across Europe, New Zealand, and other regions with suitable wetlands and grasslands. Renowned for their resonant calls and seasonal migrations, Canada Geese undertake remarkable journeys between breeding and wintering grounds, travelling in the familiar V-shaped formations that have become synonymous with migration itself. Family groups remain closely connected throughout these movements, often maintaining strong social bonds that contribute to the cohesion of the flock. One of the species’ most notable characteristics is the development of its young. Goslings are precocial, hatching covered in down with open eyes and an immediate ability to move about their environment. Within hours, they can walk, swim, and feed themselves, yet they remain under the attentive protection of both parents. This balance of early independence and strong family care has played an important role in the species’ success, allowing young birds to learn quickly while remaining sheltered during their most vulnerable days.

We use Australia Post for all domestic and international shipping, with delivery times varying according to destination, carrier demand and customs process where applicable. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
