PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
High Country Devotion captures a Kiko doe standing with two young kids on a grassy ridge above an expansive mountain valley. The mother occupies the centre of the composition, her upright posture forming a calm point of stability between the smaller animals. One kid pauses on a lichen-covered rock to her left, while the other steps through dense tussock at her right. Their differing positions suggest growing independence, yet both remain closely connected to the watchful presence of the doe.
Soft daylight reveals natural tones of pale fawn, cream, caramel, and warm brown across their coats. Weathered stone, moss, and long mountain grasses provide fine foreground texture, while a narrow road winds through the valley far below. Rolling green hills lead towards distant ridges softened by mist and morning light. The close family grouping contrasts gently with the scale of the surrounding country, creating a scene that feels both intimate and open. The Kiko goat (Capra hircus)
Kids raised in extensive hill-country systems learn much of their daily behaviour by following experienced adults. A Kiko doe guides her offspring towards suitable browse, shelter, water, and familiar resting places while demonstrating how to move across steep or broken ground. This practical knowledge develops gradually through observation and repeated travel with the herd.
Maternal guidance also allows youngsters to explore with greater security. Kids may range a short distance from the doe, investigate new plants, or test unfamiliar footing before returning to her. Her calls, posture, and movement provide signals that help them recognise when to follow, pause, or rejoin the group.
This learning is especially important where livestock cannot be supervised continuously. Young animals must develop environmental awareness and confidence without becoming separated or exposed to unnecessary danger. The doe therefore contributes more than milk and inherited traits; she helps shape the behaviour through which her offspring become capable members of the herd. In Kiko farming, successful maternal performance includes both raising healthy kids and preparing them for independent life in extensive country.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
