Ghosts of the Alps captures a moment of extraordinary beauty as a herd of Lipizzaners emerges silently through the morning mist of an alpine valley. Bathed in the soft golden light of dawn, the horses move together with effortless harmony, their brilliant white coats glowing against a landscape still wrapped in drifting fog. Rolling meadows lead toward ancient stone walls, while forests and towering mountain ridges gradually disappear into the luminous haze beyond. BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The Lipizzaner (Equus caballus), long before entering the riding arena, young Lipizzaners traditionally spent several years grazing freely on alpine pastures. These high-country environments encouraged natural development, strengthening muscles, improving balance, and building the stamina required for the demanding work that awaited them later in life. The varied terrain also helped cultivate the sure-footedness and resilience that have remained hallmarks of the breed for centuries.
The Lipizzaner has survived wars, political upheaval, and the changing borders of Europe through the dedication of generations of breeders and caretakers who protected its historic bloodlines. Their efforts ensured the continuation of a breed whose ancestry has remained remarkably consistent for more than four centuries.
Ghosts of the Alps reflects this enduring legacy. Emerging through the morning mist as a unified herd, the horses evoke both the mountain landscapes that shaped them and the remarkable continuity that has preserved one of the world's great classical horse breeds.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
