Rich textiles, carved furnishings, and warm natural light create an elegant setting for this portrait of a Persian cat presented across three stages of life. The Persian is one of the oldest and most influential domestic cat breeds, with a history that extends back several centuries. Long-haired cats from the Middle East and surrounding regions first captured the attention of European naturalists and travellers during the seventeenth century, where their luxurious coats and composed demeanour quickly distinguished them from the short-haired cats more commonly seen at the time. Through careful selective breeding, these early long-haired cats gradually became the foundation of the modern Persian, helping shape the development of the pedigree cat world itself.
Among the Persian's most admired qualities is the remarkable transformation of its coat throughout life. Kittens begin with a soft, fluffy covering that gradually matures into the dense, flowing mantle for which the breed is renowned, while their rounded features and expressive eyes become increasingly pronounced with age. Equally celebrated is the breed's calm and affectionate temperament, favouring quiet companionship and stable surroundings from kittenhood through to its senior years. Today, responsible breeding programs focus on preserving the Persian's distinctive beauty, gentle disposition, and sound health while maintaining genetic diversity and recognised breed standards. Through careful stewardship, the Persian continues to stand as one of the world's most iconic and enduring companion cat breeds.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
