A contemporary home interior forms the backdrop for a portrait that traces the life of an Oriental Shorthair through three distinct stages of development. Arranged closely together upon warm timber flooring, the kitten, adult, and senior cat appear united by their identical ebony coats, striking green eyes, and unmistakable silhouette. Their elongated features and oversized ears create an elegant visual rhythm that immediately identifies them as the same individual viewed across time.
Positioned centrally, the adult cat commands attention through its poised posture and direct gaze. The kitten rests nearby with a small toy tucked beneath its paw, introducing an element of youthful curiosity and playfulness. The Oriental Shorthair was developed during the mid-twentieth century from breeding programs closely associated with the Siamese, with the aim of preserving the breed's elegant body type while expanding the range of recognised coat colours and patterns. The result was one of the most visually diverse domestic cat breeds in the world. Today, Oriental Shorthairs are recognised in hundreds of colour and pattern combinations, from solid black and blue to tabby, smoke, bi-colour, and many other striking variations, all sharing the same refined silhouette, wedge-shaped head, and distinctive oversized ears.
Beyond its extraordinary appearance, the Oriental Shorthair has earned a reputation as one of the most expressive and interactive companion breeds. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
