The Meadow Sentinels captures the peaceful stillness of a farm awakening beneath the first light of morning, where a flock of majestic Embden geese wanders across a dew-laden pasture bordering a tranquil pond. At the centre of the composition stands a proud gander, his graceful neck held high as he surveys the meadow with calm assurance, while the surrounding flock forages quietly among fresh grasses and scattered reeds. Their brilliant white plumage catches the soft dawn light, creating a luminous contrast against the cool greens of the pasture and the lingering veil of mist that drifts gently across the landscape. The arrangement of the flock conveys a natural sense of harmony, with each bird contributing to the quiet rhythm of the scene.

Originating from the North Sea regions of Germany and the Netherlands, the breed takes its name from the German port city of Emden, from which many birds were historically exported throughout Europe and beyond. Renowned for their impressive size, pure white plumage, and distinctive orange bills and legs, Embdens have long been valued as versatile farm birds. Traditionally raised for meat, feathers, and grazing, they are equally admired for their intelligence, social nature, and strong territorial instincts. Their natural alertness has earned them a reputation as dependable farmyard guardians, readily announcing the presence of unfamiliar visitors or potential threats with their unmistakable calls. Despite their imposing stature, Embden geese are deeply social animals that thrive within close-knit flocks. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
