Strength and Devotion captures a deeply peaceful moment between a Percheron mare and her young foal as they stand together in a dew-covered meadow at the first light of dawn. The foal leans gently towards its mother in a quiet gesture of trust, while the mare lowers her head with calm attentiveness, creating an intimate focal point that speaks to the enduring bond between parent and offspring. The mare's broad, powerful frame contrasts beautifully with the foal's slender proportions, highlighting both the immense strength and remarkable gentleness for which the breed is renowned. BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The Percheron (Equus caballus) traces its origins to the former Perche province of north-western France, where centuries of careful breeding produced one of the world's most admired draft horse breeds. Developed amid fertile farmland and gently rolling countryside, these horses were expected to perform demanding agricultural work while possessing the stamina and agility required for long journeys under saddle or in harness. Unlike many heavy draft breeds, the Percheron became renowned for combining immense strength with refinement, intelligence, and an energetic willingness to work.
Historical influences from Arabian bloodlines contributed to the breed's distinctive alert expression, fluid movement, and balanced athleticism. By the nineteenth century, Percherons had spread throughout Europe and North America, where they became indispensable partners on farms, in transport, and within expanding cities. Yet behind their reputation as tireless workers lay another defining characteristic: a calm, dependable temperament that extended naturally to life within the herd.
Strength and Devotion celebrates this quieter aspect of the breed's character, portraying the enduring bond between mare and foal as the foundation upon which generations of Percheron heritage have been built.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
