PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Saanen Sanctuary portrays a white Saanen doe standing beside two young kids in a richly flowering alpine valley. The mother occupies the centre of the composition with a calm, attentive posture, her body forming a steady visual anchor between the smaller animals. One kid remains close beneath her shoulder, lifting its face towards her, while the second investigates a cluster of purple flowers nearby. Their pale forms stand clearly against the dense meadow, creating an intimate family grouping within the openness of the landscape.
Cool mountain light reveals subtle layers of porcelain white, warm ivory, and soft silver across their coats. Blue gentians, white alpine blooms, yellow buttercups, and purple clover scatter the foreground with vivid colour. Behind the family, a clear stream curves through the valley towards rustic farm buildings, moss-covered stones, and distant snow-clad peaks. Weathered fencing follows the water and adds gentle structure to the scene. The Saanen goat (Capra hircus)
A Saanen doe’s productivity depends upon the successful balance of lactation, body condition, and maternal care. After kidding, the first milk produced is colostrum, which provides newborns with concentrated nourishment and antibodies essential to early protection from disease. Prompt feeding is especially important because the kid’s ability to absorb these antibodies declines rapidly after birth.
As lactation continues, the doe requires adequate energy, protein, minerals, and clean water to support both milk production and her own health. Saanens are known for producing substantial volumes of milk, but high output must be supported by careful feeding and regular observation. Sudden changes in appetite, udder condition, or milk yield may indicate a problem requiring attention.
Dairy management may vary between farms. Some kids remain with their mothers for a period, while others are reared through controlled feeding systems that allow milk production to be measured. Whatever the method, successful husbandry places health and welfare first. The productive Saanen doe therefore represents a partnership between inherited dairy ability, attentive maternal behaviour, and skilled daily management.

As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
