Oasis Reflections captures a quiet moment as evening settles across the desert, where a magnificent grey Arabian pauses beside a secluded oasis beneath a glowing sunset sky. Lowering its head to drink, the horse creates gentle ripples that spread slowly across the still water, softening the reflection of both the horse and the warm colours overhead. Date palms frame the tranquil pool while weathered stones, desert grasses, and drifting sand surround the water's edge, creating a scene that feels sheltered within the vastness of the landscape. The Arabian's flowing silver mane falls naturally over its neck, contrasting beautifully with the warm earth beneath its hooves. Every element of the composition encourages the viewer to linger, drawing attention to the quiet rhythm of the scene and the peaceful atmosphere that settles over the oasis as daylight begins to fade.
The final light of the day fills the artwork with luminous tones of amber, soft gold, apricot, rose, and muted violet, reflecting across the water and gently illuminating the surrounding palms and desert floor. BACKGROUND AND HISTORY
The Arabian (Equus caballus) among the Bedouin peoples of the Arabian Peninsula, horses occupied a place of exceptional respect within everyday life. Rather than existing solely as working animals, valued mares were often kept close to family encampments, fostering strong relationships built upon trust, familiarity, and mutual dependence. This close companionship encouraged the development of horses renowned for their intelligence, responsiveness, and willingness to cooperate with people under demanding conditions.
Traditional Bedouin horsemanship emphasised careful observation, patience, and selective breeding based upon proven performance rather than appearance alone. Stories of distinguished horses and their maternal bloodlines were preserved through oral tradition, ensuring valuable characteristics were carried forward across generations. These practices established a breeding philosophy centred upon reliability, courage, sound temperament, and enduring partnership. Today, many of these principles continue to influence Arabian breeders throughout the world, preserving not only the physical qualities of the breed but also a remarkable cultural heritage that celebrates one of history's oldest and most respected relationships between horse and human.

We use Australia Post for all domestic and international shipping, with delivery times varying according to destination, carrier demand and customs process where applicable. As we are based in Western Australia, delivery typically takes approximately 2–4 business days within Western Australia and 3–6 business days for interstate destinations within Australia following dispatch.
